How We Test

This page explains the approach behind our reviews, comparisons and guides. Rather than relying on marketing claims, we evaluate IPTV and streaming topics against consistent, real-world criteria so our readers can trust that our conclusions are grounded and fair.

The criteria we assess

  • Stability: how consistently content plays, especially during busy evening hours.
  • Streaming quality: whether picture quality holds a steady bitrate rather than just an advertised maximum.
  • Content relevance: whether the channels and on-demand library match what readers actually want.
  • Device compatibility: how well apps run across common devices, including modest hardware.
  • Support and reliability: the clarity of help channels and realistic response times.
  • Value: total cost weighed against reliability and features.
  • Privacy and transparency: how open a provider is about who they are and how they handle data.

How we approach testing

Where we assess a service or app hands-on, we favour real-world use over lab conditions: watching during peak hours, switching between live and on-demand content, and trying the experience on more than one type of device. We note the devices used and the period of assessment so readers understand the context behind our observations.

What we will not do

We do not publish invented scores, fabricated statistics or fictional testing histories. If we have not verified something, we say so. We would rather present an honest framework that helps you judge for yourself than a false sense of precision.

Keeping assessments current

Services change as providers add or lose capacity, so our guidance is reviewed and updated over time. If you believe an article is out of date, let us know through the Contact page and we will take a fresh look.
